The New Year is off to a fantastic start! Tuve is working hard to master the last few tasks her Veteran has asked for, and we will be going to introduce him to Tuve later this month. If all goes well we hope that they will be able to start their new adventure together in early February. Her list of skills is amazing, from excellent obedience and being very comfortable in public situations to specific skills for her Veteran such as fetching dropped items, alerting to a fall, retrieving an emergency kit, giving comfort during an anxiety attack or waking from a nightmare, and fetching her leash on an alarm to name a few! One of her final tasks is to learn how to do a search of the house when asked, such a smart girl she is!
We are also excited to share that we have been contacted by four additional Veterans in need of Service Dogs, so once Tuve is settled we are going to be very busy this year training pups for these wonderful families. Stay tuned for more updates.
Thank you again to all of our wonderful donors, we would not be able to adopt & train dogs for these deserving Veterans without your support!
Happy New Year!
