Meet Dallas, a 14-month old Labradoodle who was our third service dog-in-training! Dallas was adopted by his Veteran Jeremy when a family friend realized a puppy was a bit too much for his family. They did an excellent job socializing Dallas before coming to us, which is fantastic! Dallas is our social butterfly, wanting to make friends with EVERYONE 🙂
His obedience came along so well, and he participated in our trainer Sam’s weekly group lessons, as well as agility class every Saturday morning. He is a very well-behaved pup, and we had him trained with all of his service tasks and back with Jeremy by late Spring.
Dallas was reunited with his Veteran Jeremy on April 5th, 2020, as a service dog! Dallas is a smart pup and now has great obedience and quite a few service skills under his collar to help Jeremy out. We are going to miss Dallas’s playful and cuddly personality, but he is set up to be an amazing companion for Jeremy.
Jeremy recently told us, “Before I had my service dog Dallas, I faced daily struggles and took countless medications to help with my anxiety, depression and PTSD with seizures. After getting Dallas, my whole life has changed! I sleep better and enjoy life. Not to mention I am now medication free! Thanks to The rescue for PTSD’s hard work and dedication, I was actually able to enjoy our family vacation for the first time without worrying the whole time about having an anxiety attack or seizure! Thank y’all for everything and your continued support with Dallas. Our family will continue to help support The Rescue for PTSd because they have changed our lives for the better!”
