About Our Monthly Group Class

First off, you can check out all the latest on on Group Class and the Rescue News on our Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn!

While the R4PTSD Team rescues dogs and matches them with Veterans all over the country, we also have a Monthly Group Class in Houston, Texas where Veterans and First Responders with their own dogs can come to be a part of the Rescue Family. We will soon be launching our second location in Denver, Colorado!

At Group Class, the teams-in-training work diligently with Director of Training, Samantha Scott, and the rest of the Rescue Team and Volunteers on the skills needed to become service dog teams!

R4PTSD Group class meets at the Tomball VFW, and we offer beginner, intermediate, and service-level classes. Many of our graduates return to Group Class month after month to keep their skills sharp and develop more.

R4PTSD Group Class also meets outside of the VFW to engage in outings around the Houston Metro area so the teams-in-training can learn how to apply their skills to their day-to-day activities.

The teams will be tested throughout their time in the Group Class Program to earn their AKC Star Puppy, Canine Good Citizen, Public Access, and yes, even their Service Dog graduations! Once the teams graduate, they are expected to continue with their 3-month, 6-month, 9-month, and annual check-ins just like all our other graduated service teams. All graduates also become members of our special closed Facebook group page just for Veteran and First Responder members of the R4PTSD family, so they can share all their experiences and journeys together.
