Evie & Peggy

Call-Sign: “Evie”

Have you seen a beauty like this cutie? Evie was donated to Team Rescue by our friends at AARF – Adopt a Rescue Friend in Houston, TX. AARF helps R4PTSD find the next rescue pup to become a part of our family and the next service dog!

When Evie joined Team Rescue, she was very skinny, very teeny, and very sick. Our friends at AARF spared no expense in nursing this precious soul back to health, saving her life and allowing her to play a vital role in a veteran’s life.

Evie is a professional shoe thief and the sweetest snuggle bug.

Evie was being fostered by our volunteer, Peggy Woods. Peggy’s husband, Kurt Woods, is also father and veteran teammate to Honor. Peggy and Kurt also fostered and trained Justice.

Now, Evie is Peggy’s service dog! She gets to spend the rest of her life loving her sister Honor and her cousin Justice!

UPDATE: Grace has now moved to the same neighborhood and become best friends with Evie. These girls are more like sisters than cousins and are absolutely thriving!

Team Rescue is forever grateful to the kindness of St. Laurence Social Concerns Ministry for their partnership and support. St. Laurence Social Concerns Ministry (SCM) focus on service to others by offering a variety of opportunities to their members to share their time, treasure, and talents to support their community. SCM sponsored Evie, helping us ensure she is in the best health and happiness for her own life of service and love.
