We would like to introduce you to the first ever pit-mix to join the Rescue for PTSD family, DAISY!! She is by far the sweetest pup in the bunch. She was found as a stray with a litter of puppies, heart-worm positive, and with many medical needs. However, she also had the demeanor and intelligence needed to make the perfect service partner for a Veteran. We did not think twice before adopting her and nursing her back to peak health. Daisy was a superstar in her agility and obedience classes.
And when Daisy met Jerry, it was a match made in Heaven! They both fell instantly in love! There wasn’t a dry eye in the house the day Daisy graduated and earned her vest!
Daisy and Jerry continue to join the Rescue family at the Monthly Group Program to sharpen her skills and help welcome new Veterans into the family. Jerry’s wife, too, joins the crowd and helps other Veteran families feel welcome. We could not be more grateful to have Jerry, Daisy, and their entire family as a part of the Rescue.
