Orbit is a 3 year old Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever and is the personal dog/training partner of our Director of Communications. He likes to help out with The Rescue for PTSD as a skill demonstration dog, a distraction test and as a socialization helper.
Orbit has proven to be a happy-go-lucky member of the team and is always excited to help his friends. When Orbit was a puppy, his parents started fostering rescue/lost dogs in their neighborhood. Orbit’s fun and quirky personality helped those dogs build their own confidence. The fosters quickly learned looked to Orbit for guidance and Orbit was always happy to show off! Like Bolo and Astrid, Orbit is the well-trained example for our dogs in training to learn from.
When he isn’t helping out at The Rescue for PTSD, Orbit loves to play with his squeaky toys, go for long walks, do agility courses and go for car rides. He is an AKC Canine Good Citizen and AKC Novice Trick Dog. He is currently working on his AKC Urban Canine Good Citizen title. Orbit is excited to start helping his new “siblings” in Florida learn the ropes of being a service and therapy dog!
